Together Winter Music Festival has issued a statement urging anyone who took illegal substances at the event this weekend to seek urgent medical attention if they are feeling unwell, after two clubbers died and another is seriously ill in hospital after possibly taking what police may have been a toxic batch of ecstasy.

The dead men, aged 20 and 21, were admitted to hospital just after midnight on Saturday and died hours later. The Metropolitan Police have said there were indications that all three might have consumed what they believed to be MDMA. But it is impossible to know for sure until toxicology tests had been carried out.

However they have urgently appealed to more than 20,000 clubbers who had attended the events to seek immediate medical attention if they are feeling unwell having taken similar drugs.

A statement released by organisers says:
"Alexandra Palace and Lock N Load Events are deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the fatalities that have occurred over the weekend, which the metropolitan police believe may be linked to illegal drug taking.

Our condolences and deepest sympathy go out to the family and friends of the men who passed away this weekend. We would like to ask everyone to keep the concert goers and their families in their thoughts and prayers.

We have a zero tolerance to drugs and employ security teams to enforce all measures possible to protect visitors to the Palace. We are assisting the authorities in their investigations into these tragic incidences.

We would urge anyone that took illegal substances at the event this weekend to seek urgent medical attention if they are feeling unwell.
