The Stone Roses have been announced as the first headliner for next year's The International Benicàssim Festival, FIB Heineken, in Spain.

The Manchester quartet finally settled their differences that caused their breakup in the 90's and officially confirmed they were getting back together, and would be touring in 2012. They've already sold-out of all three consecutive days in June next year at Heaton Park in just a few hours, shifting a total of 220,000 ticket sales.

Vince Power has said, "We're really happy to announce the Stone Roses to headline FIB, this is really exciting on all fronts, I've had a long history with The Stone Roses since they formed and I'm really looking forward to having them back at FIB to watch, no doubt an incredible performance."

As well as this diverse array of musical performers, the festival has an extensive bill of non-musical entertainment, including dance, art, theatre, fashion, silent disco and short films.

Established in 1994, next year will be its 18th year, the International Benicàssim Festival, FIB Heineken, near Valencia, Spain is back for 2012 from Thursday 12th until Sunday 15th July. With camping thrown in with the ticket price, all night music over 4 days, and sited just walking distance from the beach and a huge water park.
