Primavera Sound launches new Portuguese festival

Barcelona's Primavera Sound, has announced a new festival called Optimus Primavera Sound which will take place in Portugal next year, one week after its Spanish counterpart.

Like the established Spanish event the new festival will take place on the coast taking place at the Parque Da Cidade, Porto, in Portugal across four stages between Thursday 7th and Sunday 10th June 2012.

There are no acts confirmed yet for 2012. Attendees can expect a line-up of international and local acts. The programme will includes a stage hosted by the UK's own All Tomorrow's Parties (ATP), and another dedicated to electronica with DJs as well as live acts, offering a mix of experimental and dance music.

On the first and last days of the event, Thursday 7th and Sunday 10th June, Optimus Primavera Sound will put on several free concerts in the city centre.
