With just over two weeks to go until the sold out Kendal Calling have revealed some last minute additions.

Fenech-Soler
Electropop act Fenech-Soler will headline the Calling Out stage on Sunday closing this year's festival.

Also on Sunday 'Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe' will play host to the world's largest Kendal Mintcake. Mixed and baked over the weekend, the mintcake will be on display crowning Kendal Calling as 'record setter' as no-one has attempted this before.

This feat of sugar craft, measuring 4m in length and nearly 3/4m thick, has been specially created for Kendal Calling by Wilsons confectioners using the exact same methods as 100 years ago, Kendal Calling are attempting to gain a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for baking the largest mintcake.

Added to the Riot Jazz stage line-up is Skamel from Fat Freddys Drop, and Kendal Calling also plays host to neo rave Balkan Gypsy band Slamboree, and their face painted posse will be gracing stages across the weekend.

This years fancy dress theme is 'Beasts and Machines'. Added to Kendal Calling's areas; which include the Main Stage, Glow Dance Tent, Kayleid Tent, Calling Out stage, Monstrous Garden, The Soapbox, Riot Jazz, The Houseparty, Happy Slap Boutique, Get it Loud in Libraries, Kids Area, The Ladybird Project, Garden of Eden, The Village Green and Songsmith Solar Stage; will be a real ale festival; Kendale, which is based in the onsite pub 'The Holy Quail'.

Acts already confirmed include Blondie, Chase & Status,The Cribs, the Levellers performing a 20th anniversary show of 'Levelling The Land', Echo and the Bunnymen, Mr Scruff, Beardyman, a Northern festival exclusive of Tim Burgess & Mark Collins' The Charlatans (acoustic), The Whip, and many more. For the full line-up to-date, please see here.

Tickets have sold out. Kendal Calling is held in the Lake District, over the weekend of Friday 29th to Sunday 31st July and is a wholly independent festival returning for its fifth year and returning to the Lowther Estate, Kendal, in East Cumbria.
