The Den line-up announced for Cambridge Folk Festival

Cambridge Folk Festival has announced the line-up for The Den, a brand new stage dedicated to emerging talent.

The new stage will be set within an Indian marquee and decorated to create a quirky, welcoming and intimate space. In addition to booked artists, some 15 minute slots will be set aside daily for musicians attending the festival at Cherry Hinton Hall Grounds, in Cambridge.

Appearing on Thursday will be Mary Hampton Cotillion, Matthew P, Melodica, Melody and Me, and Sunday Driver.

Friday's acts are Cakes and Ale, Ed & Will the Wandering Minstrels, Folk With Attitude, Leddra Chapman, Nick Hart, PBS6, Robinson, Sean Taylor, The Staves, and You Are Wolf.

On Saturday it will be the turn of City Shanty Band, Ethan Ash, Horses Brawl, Maia, Megan Henwood, Polly & The Billets Doux, Rachel Sermanni, Revere, Solaference, and This Is The Kit.

Whilst on Sunday the stage will host BARD, Firefly, Fribo, Louise and The Pins, Milly, Mozzy Green, Passenger, Pete Roe, Sam Amidon, and Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou.

They join The Robert Cray Band, Frank Turner, Pentangle, Penguin Cafe, Femi Kuti And The Postive force, The Fisherman's Friends, Chris Wood, The Secret Sisters, Newton Faulkner, Bellowhead, Richard Thompson, Kate Rusby, Raul Malo, Laura Marling, and Mary Chapin Carpenter Rumer, James Vincent McMorrow, Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs, Danú, Justin Townes Earle, Orkestra del Sol, Saltfishforty, Tickled Pink, Bedlam, The Peatbog Faeries featuring The Wayward Boys, Frankie Gavin & De Dannan, Spiers & Boden, Anxo Lorenzo Band, Jim Moray’s Silent Ceilidh, The Spooky Men's Chorale, Admiral Fallow, The Peatbog Faeries featuring The Wayward Boys, Home Service, Villagers, Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill, Caitlin Rose, Abigail Washburn & The Village, Damien O'Kane, Moore Moss Rutter, and more. The festival takes place from Thursday 28th until Sunday 31st July. Tickets are priced at £114 for a full adult festival pass (not including camping), day tickets are priced as follows - Thursday £18, Friday £39; Saturday £50; and Sunday £50. Children aged 5-15 tickets are priced at £33, and children aged 4 and under can attend for free. Camping will be available for full festival ticket holders only, priced at £35-£50 per 2-3 berth tent.
