Saturday headliners Echo and the Bunnymen are amongst the first acts announced for Headstock which happens at Newstead & Annesley Country Park, East Midlands on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September 2011.

The other acts confirmed for this year are Craig Charles, Tunng, Nick Harper, African Head Charge , Aistaguca, Seas of Mirth, 25 Past The Skank, Royal Gala, Nightmares on Wax present wax da jam, The Halluminati, CW Stoneking, Alberteen, The High Llamas, and Tilted Smile, with many more still to be announced.

The Musika! Stage, the DIY/Smokescreen, and UDS/Desert Storm hosted Area 23 will all return for this the festival's second year.

Headstock was set up by the Newstead community and all profits will go directly back to that community. A 'headstock' is the structure used to transport miners up and down a mining shaft. Such a building has iconic value and meaning to mining communities throughout the East Midlands and mining communities generally.

Early bird tickets are now on sale priced at priced at £50 (full price £60) for the weekend and £28 (full price £35) for a day ticket. A youth (12-17) early bird weekend ticket is priced at £27 (full price £35) for the weekend and £15 (full price £23) for the day ticket. A family early bird ticket is priced at £140 for 2 adults and 2 youths. Children aged under 12's are free. To buy tickets, click here. As well as a main stage and music marquees, there are loads of other things promised including a Speakeasy Lounge and other bars, food stalls, a huge range of workshops, and lots of stuff for kids including a Puppet show.

This year the event will be continuing their commitment to increasing their support for the environment and green issues.
