Friday night Main Stage headliner Roger Daltrey leads the latest acts to be announced for this summer's family friendly GuilFest which takes place at Stoke Park, Guilford in Surrey.

The Who
Founder and frontman of The Who, the iconic rock legend Roger Daltrey has been confirmed to headline the Main Stage at GuilFest on Friday 15th July 2011. Roger will be performing The Who's legendary rock opera 'Tommy' from start to finish, as well as a variety of Who Classics and more!

'Tommy' is one of the most acclaimed and defining works of the rock era, it is an enduring album that resonates on radio to this day where it has found multi-generational appeal. As lead singer of The Who, one of the most influential rock bands of all time, Roger has notched up over 100 million record sales - including ten UK top 10 studio albums and thirteen UK top 10 singles, such as seminal classics 'My Generation', 'Pinball Wizard', and 'Happy Jack' amongst many others; as well as scoring four UK top 40 studio albums as a solo artist in his own right.

At the same time as the musical legend appears on the main stage, another music icon Adam Ant And The Good The Mad And The Lovely Posse, will be headlining The Good Time Guide Stage on Friday 15th July. Leader of New Wave/post-punk group Adam and the Ants, Adam returns to the live circuit for the first time in over 15 years and with his new band line up is sure to play a greatest hits set which includes 'Prince Charming', 'Antmusic', 'Stand and Deliver' and 'Goody Two Shoes'. As well as being a multi-million selling artist, Adam has also had a very successful acting career, having appeared in over 20 films and television shows and was once voted sexiest man in America by the viewers of television channel MTV.

Also announced today are hardcore Punks Gallows who will be headlining The Rock Cave Stage on Sunday 17th July. Their latest album, 'Grey Britain' has been very well received, hitting the top 20 in the UK album charts – a feat not achieved by many other hardcore bands. Gallows have become known for their full on live performances and organisers are expecting them to blow the roof off The Rock Cave at GuilFest this summer.

Also confirmed, and brand new for this year is The GuilFest Vintage Fayre – A whole new exciting area featuring fashion, music, dance, tea and scones, jive and jazz and idiosyncrasies from the crazy bygone days of the 40s,50s,60s,70s and 80s.

They join an incredibly eclectic already announced line up of James Blunt, Razorlight, N-Dubz, PiL, Peter Andre, Erasure, and Ziggy Marley. The GuilFest-line up will continue to grow over the coming weeks to a massive 200 bands performing across 7 music stages over the 3 days of the festival. There are many more acts to be revealed for all the stages soon, including the Rock Cave and Dance tent, as well as top performers for both the eFestivals comedy and theatre tents.

GuilFest is a great laid-back festival where visitors can enjoy a great weekend taking place from Friday 15th until Sunday 17th July 2011 and enjoy late night night revelry 'til the early hours, impromptu street theatre performances, Kidzone, cocktail bars, food and drink from around the world, craft and clothes stalls, the 150ft beer tent, and brand new for this year, The Vintage Experience!! – further details to be revealed very soon.
