London's Field Day adds Villagers, + Benga and Youngman

The latest acts announced for Field Day, which takes place at Victoria Park, London on Saturday 6th August 2011 include Villagers, Benga and Youngman, and Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet's exclusive back to back set with Erol Alkan.

Also confirmed more details of Detroit DJ Carl Craig's exclusive performance. The house music pioneer and dance music legend who will be performing '69' live as Carl Craig Presents 69. This is a UK exclusive and the set is being performed in four cities worldwide this year. Expect tracks like 'Desire', 'Jam The Box' or the contents of 4 Jazz Funk Classics staged in front of a retina popping stage show.

Other new additions include Creep, Baio (Vampire Weekend), Born Ruffians, Cloud Control, Junip, 2:54.

Field Day have also announced a partnership with Australian music festival Laneway. Field Day promoted a stage at Laneway in January 2011 and was keen to reciprocate by inviting Laneway to do the same in August.

Danny Rogers, co-promoter of the Laneway Festival said, "Field Day London and the St Jerome's Laneway Festival have much in common and pride themselves on being leaders in presenting the highest calibre acts to their respective markets, often before they've broken. We are proud that we are committed to the same goals, ethos and ideals as such an awesome festival like Field Day and are ecstatic to be a part of something that is doing truly great things."

Promoter Tom Baker of Eat Your Own Ears added, "I am super excited about Field Day now, the line up is so, so good I can't really believe it. I don't know what I am going to do on the day, there are just too many good acts to see and some exclusives like the Kieran Hebden back to back set with James Holden and Carl Craig presents 69 just can't be missed."

Also confirmed for the London bash are Wild Beasts, The Horrors, Tortoise, John Cale, Jamie XX, James Blake, Electrelane, Actress, Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Thecocknbullkid, Ducktails, Factory Floor, Gruff Rhys, Hype Williams, Jamie Woon, John Cale, Konono No1, Mark Kozelek, Matthew Dear, Mount Kimbie, Omar Souleyman, and many other acts.
