On Friday Hazel O'Connor & The Subterraneans (featuring Bowie/Live Aid saxophonist Clare Hirst) will be playing the entire "Breaking Glass" album live.

Former Mott The Hoople mainman Ian Hunter has withdrawn from Rhythm Festival 2011, notifying organisers via his UK agent that he will NOT be appearing at Rhythm Festival 2011 after all. No specific reason was given but it would appear that other acts appearing on the bill are not to Mr Hunter's taste.

Also on Saturday, folk-rock-punk outfit The Men They Couldn't Hang celebrate their Silver Jubilee by programming the Le Mesurier Stage all day. Aside from themselves, this will feature performances from the specially reformed Boothill Foot-Tappers, and Blubbery Hellbellies, Bobby Valentino & The Musicians, FastLane Roogalator, with more to be added and announced.

They join the previously announced acts, including Toots & The Maytals, Jack Bruce, Steve Cropper & The Animals, Terry Reid, The Blockheads, Oysterband, Burns Unit, Mud Morganfield, Sandi Thom, Curved Air, and more. For the line-up details as available please click here.

Dozens more acts are set to be announced for the four music stages, including further headliners and the entire comedy line-up.

Rhythm takes place at the Mansion House, Old Warden Park, near Biggleswade, in Bedfordshire from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th August 2011.
