The Divine Comedy
Joint headliners The Divine Comedy, and Jose Gonzalez will kick off this year's Summer Sessions on Tuesday 26th July.

On Wednesday 27th July the Mark Ronson & The Business Intl. will headline. Day three, Thursday 28th July, the Old Royal Naval College will play host to a first ever Greenwich performance from Status Quo, with support from Nine Below Zero.

Friday 29th July locally-based Greenwich artists Squeeze will headline, with Irish punk folk heroes The Pogues topping the bill on Saturday 30th July.

With the acts for the closing night, Sunday 31st July, to be announced shortly, along with more acts for the line-up.

Staged in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College on the River Thames, in the centre of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, this six-night run of concerts, coincides with the start of the year-long countdown to the 2012 London Olympics.

Summer Sessions Creative Producer and Promoter Peter Conway said, "I conceived Greenwich Summer Sessions (GSS) to build on that original Blackheath festival in 1993. GSS is an outdoor concert series, not a festival, and the chance to stage the concerts in the stunning grounds of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich was an opportunity not to be missed. The first year of GSS was a major success. Over 8000 people attended the four concerts. But 2011 will be even bigger and better than last year without losing its 'small is beautiful' aim. We are a boutique, high-quality event and we are always open to suggestions for improvements – we want the concert series to grow in line with the expectations of ticket buyers. So enjoy."

Tickets go on sale at 10am this Thursday, 10th March and eFestivals will have links to buy them then. Tickets will be priced as follows:

Tuesday - standing from £27.50 / seated from £42.50
