The festival will be a sister event to the one launched by TV presenter Jimmy Doherty at his farm in Suffolk, which will take place on the same weekend, with the first act confirmed is KT Tunstall.

The festival is being organised by Big Wheel and ticket prices for the four day event have not yet been confirmed.

The cheese loving musician's event will be strongly food orientated. Notable foodies at the event will include Richard Corrigan, Mark Hix and Yotam Ottolenghi, and Gardeners' World host Monty Don will also be putting in an appearance.

The festival will offer a range of pursuits such as gardening workshops, cookery masterclasses, a children's field, food stalls and a farmers' market. It is anticipated the event will also have camping

"We'll throw open the farm gates for Harvest this September," said James. "My family are looking forward to a celebration of all our favourite things – food, the farm and music. What more could we ask for?"

The festival is aimed at celebrating the simple pleasures in life, and will showcase "the very best of the British food scene alongside a soundtrack of the finest bands around", according to organisers.
