Sources have revealed that there will be be a new stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
Andrew Kerr has written a book about his life, called 'Intolerably Hip' and it will be published this year before the Festival happens, priced at £14 by Frontier.
Though the landowner, Michael Eavis, had held an event in the previous year and has sustained the festival ever since, it was Kerr's spiritual and environmental ideology which linked Glastonbury Fair to the Solstice and the landscape of Avalon.
The stage called Glastonbury Fair Spirit of '71 looks likely to be located near the Glade in East Holts, although the exact location has not yet been confirmed. The line-up has not yet been announced but Andrew Kerr hopes to get hold of some of the original bands that played in 1971 on the first Pyramid.
To find out more about the book, (click here). eFestivals is led to believe that the publish date is going to be brought forward to around mid April, and copies of the book will be sold at the festival, near the anniversary Pyramid Stage.
Tickets have sold out for this summer's Glastonbury Festival which runs for five full days from Wednesday 22nd until Sunday 26th June 2011 across a 1000 hectares (2470 acres) of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset. Resales of unwanted tickets are expected at some point in April.
No acts are officially confirmed as yet, although U2 look likely, and organiser Michael Eavis confirmed to eFestivals that this year's Festival will be headlined by "The three biggest bands in the world. You won't believe who we've got."
As usual eFestivals bring you the very best-sourced rumours, allowing festival-goers to see who is playing long before the bands are formally announced - keep your eyes on the Glastonbury 2011 rumours, updated as we receive information.
