eFestivals exclusive: The Waterboys to headline Saturday at Bearded Theory

eFestivals can exclusively reveal that The Waterboys will headline the Saturday night at the family friendly Bearded Theory which takes place this year from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th May 2011.

The Scottish band formed in 1983 by Mike Scott will be headlining the Main Stage on Saturday 14th May, at Bearded Theory's new home in the surroundings of Kedleston Park.

Transglobal Underground have also been added to the Sunday Main Stage line up.

Also confirmed today are Eat Static presenting an 'Eclectic Electric Chilled Set', The Orb Sound System, and DJ X (Lab 4) who will all headline the Magical Sounds Tent.

They will be joined by Dave The Drummer, Chris Liberator, Greg Zogg (DJ), DJ Criminal Justice, Atomgrinder, Lunar Seed, Psionic Entity, Tarantism Sound System, and Astro Druid.

Rich Bryan from Bearded Theory Festival promoters Spring Music said, "2011 is shaping up to be the best ever Bearded Theory Festival yet. We are producing our biggest and best festival to date and we are delighted to be holding it within the stunning surroundings of one of England's most iconic stately homes, Kedleston Hall."

Alabama 3 will headline Sunday night, and Miles Hunt and Erica Nockalls who will headline the Beard Top on the Sunday night. Also confirmed to play over the Saturday or Sunday of the festival are The Bad Shepherds, UK Subs, Tofu Love Frogs, P.A.I.N, Martha Tilston, Abdoujaparov, David Gibb, 3 Daft Monkeys, Dan Donnelly, Attila The Stockbroker, Verbal Warning, Wobbly Squadron, and more. Loads more acts to be confirmed including the headliners on the Main Stage on Friday and the Beard Top headliners for Friday and Saturday.

Bearded Theory will be taking place within 850 beautiful acres of parkland at Kedleston Hall. Kedleston Hall is only a couple of miles from the old the festival site and organisers hope that this will be the festival's final move.

The festival will have bands, DJs, and comedians across six stages offering a wide variety of simultaneous music programming. Away from the music they will have the Lady Bird Cabaret Tent, Gail's open mic tea tent, huge children's village, craft workshops, creative arts and much more. The festival will also offer workshops, circus skills, site art, on-site art work, world foods, camping, and more.

Tickets are now on sale with a weekend ticket is priced at £68, 12-16 weekend tickets are priced at £32, 5-12 weekend tickets are priced at £22, children under 5 are free and Family Tickets are priced at £192 (2 x adult & 2 x children). All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. 30% of the festivals ticket allocation has now been sold.

There will a charge for car parking of £6. Please note you will be charged £10 at the gate if you do not have a ticket.
