Beautiful Days has confirmed that the festival is ow very close to selling out and has announced a new area for 2010, more acts including the return of Dreadzone, and the line-up of comedians in The Little Big Top.

The last few acts confirmed for the bill on the main two stages includes Dreadzone, Arthur Brown, Kathryn Williams, Boppin' B, Kassidy, The Last Republic, and festival Sunday regulars The Fabulous Good Time Party Boys.

The festival which takes place at Escot Park, near Fairmile, Devon from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd August 2010 has also announced 'Scary Dave presents' on the during the day in the Little Big Top with hours of stand-up comedy on Saturday and Sunday from Paddy Lennox, Pierre Hollins, Liam Mullone, Hils Barker, Woody Lee, Brian Damage and Krysstal, Doozer, Attila the Stockbroker, Sully O'Sullivan, Del Strain, Debra Jane Appleby, Dan Cardwell, Ian Cognito, Gareth Berliner, Rich Allen, Paul Pirie, and Mitch Benn.

Festival organisers have also revealed the new area of the festival replacing the Pussy Parlure - Dirty Davey's which will feature a bandstand and real ale bar with outdoor seating area and food stalls. The area will play host to a range of diverse acts, speakers and groups during the weekend to be announced soon. There is also a chance for festival goers to take some of the slots on the Dirty Davey's Bandstand bill. Those wanting to perform on the bandstand then email info@beautifuldays.org with 'bandstand' in the subject line and let them know what you do - they're not just looking for musicians - comedy, magic, dance, theatre - all acts will be considered!

Also new for 2010 is a healing area, The Body and Soul Area will be located near the Tiny Tea Tent and will have a dedicated team of qualified therapists and healers, each bringing their own unique skills and energies to Beautiful Days. On offer is a wide range of treatments for you to relax, unwind and to enjoy some blissful peace. Visit the circle early to ensure a booking or come and ask questions about what is on offer.

They join headliners James, The Wailers and Levellers plus Newton Faulkner, Fairport Acoustic Convention, Billy Bragg, Bellowhead, New Model Army, Easy Star All-Stars, Show of Hands, African Head Charge, The Slackers, The Alarm, Ned's Atomic Dustbin, The Aggrolites, Krafty Kuts, Citizen Fish, Dervish, Wilko Johnson, John Cooper Clarke, Shooglenifty, John Otway Big Band, The Destroyers, 3 Daft Monkeys, Uiscedwr, Tankus The Henge and Ian King. There are still the DJ line-up to be announced. This year's theme has been announced with the festival embracing the Chinese Year of the Tiger, with the theme for the Sunday being Stripes.

Beautiful Days' site art team are going to be creating a giant mosaic this year featuring photographs from past festivals and are looking for photos. If you want to be included please send your photos to info@beautifuldays.org with 'MOSAIC' in the subject line.

The tickets will sell out to this popular old-style festival put together by the Levellers. An adult weekend camping ticket is priced £100, child (10 to under 16 years of age) weekend camping tickets are £60, children aged 5 to under 10's weekend camping tickets are £30 and under 5's weekend camping tickets are £5. Car routing/parking passes are £15. There will be no day tickets available.

Due to demand, a very small number of Extra campervan tickets will go on sale next week on Wednesday 7 July from 9am priced at £35.

Tickets entitle the holder to camp on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. The festival will once again be offering free tickets for carers, disabled/flat camping and parking - all of which must be booked in advance.

The festival which is licensed for 12,000 will feature music across five stages, and street theatre, as well as site art and sculpture, lots of children's activities a huge children's area in the centre of the festival, theatre, comedy, family camping, camping facilities, licensed bars from local company Otter Brewery, world food, craft stalls, fancy dress, a 'village shop' on site, and more. There is plenty of family camping close to the car parks.
