Castle Field, which in previous years has played host to some dramatic art pieces as a focal point for the festival, has a new addition in the form of the Clash Stage. The stage will see acts perform on a psychedelic floating boat designed by acclaimed artist Pete Fowler, the artist behind Super Furry Animals album covers and 'monster' creator.

The Clash stage will play host to Friday headliners Mystery Jets who are joined on the bill on that day by Steve Mason, Riva Starr (DJ Set), The Hundred In The Hands, Sneaky, and Delta Maid.

Saturday's Clash Stage headliner will be Liars with support from Caribou, Benji B, The Leisure Society, We Have Band, The Ruby Suns, Bullion (DJ Set), John & Jehn, and Ganglians.

Sunday sees Bonobo play to the Castle Field in the headline slot with Fionn Regan, James Yuill, Beth Jeans Houghton,Submotion Orchestra, Joe Worricker, King Porter Stomp, and the stage hosts Clash DJs.

Pete Fowler, Designer of Clash Stage said, "I'm pleased and totally honoured to be invited to design the Clash stage at the Big Chill 2010. As a hardened attendee of past Big Chill fests and a DJ resident at the Big Chill bar in London I have a cosmic connection with the crew and fond memories of many great festival moments. Over the last few years I've been massively inspired by cosmic nautical vibes in both my artwork and music combined with my years spent in the Isles Of Scilly building boats and being a yacht bum! I plan to create a scene on a fantastic psychedelic ocean of the most far out clipper ship that has ever sailed the seven sea. Wooed by delicious sea maidens, tripped out aquatic monsters and other salty beasts that lurk in the depths, this ship will be a magnet for all freaks, sea dogs and lovers of all things three sheets to the cosmic wind."

The Big Chill will take place from Thursday 5th until Sunday 8th August at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire. Massive Attack, M.I.A., and Lily Allen will headline with one more headliner still to be announced. Also confirmed are Kelis, Roy Ayers, Henrik Schwarz, Roots Manuva, London Elektricity, Kirsty Almeida, Gilles Peterson, The Leisure Society, Netsky, Breakage, Layo & Bushwacka!, Foreign Beggars, High Contrast, Tinie Tempah, John Hegley, The Bug, Mixmaster Morris, Jose Padilla, Cringe, The Fisherman's Friends, Toddla T & MC Serocee, The Heatwave, Futureboogie, Terry Callier, Plan B, and many more.
