The Big Chill has announced that Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke will be taking to the Deer Park Stage on Friday night in what is his only UK festival appearance this year to date. Malian desert band Tinariwen will also be taking to the Deer Park Stage on Friday. Other joining the previously announced acts Massive Attack, M.I.A., Kruder & Dorfmeister, Kelis, Roots Manuva, Plan B on that stage are Metronomy, and Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions. Across the other stages additional artists just announced include Natty performing on the Revellers Stage as part of the offering on Sunday, Maurice Fulton has been added to the Paradiso Club Tent line-up, and Fat 45, and Bristol Hi-Fi feat. Daddy G complete the new musical additions.

The Big Chill has also announced more of its arts programme confirming a selection of visual art from the exhibition Rude Britannia. A mix of cartoons, comics, paintings and sculpture, Rude Britannia presents Cedar Lewisohn, Doug Fishbone, and David Shrigley in the Words in Motion tent. Glasgow-based artist David Shrigley has also announced he has several surprises up his sleeve for this year's Big Chill, so don’t expect him to be confined to any one stage or tent.

The Big Chill will take place from Thursday 5th until Sunday 8th August at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire. Artist Spencer Tunick will be calling on Big Chill ticket holders to disrobe for one of his renowned nude landscape pieces at the festival.

Those festival goers feeling inspired by Spencer Tunick's living sculpture set to take place at The Big Chill can try their own hand at capturing the human body with London Drawing Presents: Adventures In Drawing Life. Offering an introduction to the skill of life drawing, workshops and classes will take place on The Big Chill hill early Saturday and Sunday morning, and Chiller's will be able to walk away from the festival with their own work of art.

Massive Attack, and M.I.A. will headline with one more headliner still to be announced. Also confirmed are Kelis, Roy Ayers, Henrik Schwarz, Roots Manuva, London Elektricity, Kirsty Almeida, Gilles Peterson, The Leisure Society, Netsky, Breakage, Layo & Bushwacka!, Foreign Beggars, High Contrast, Tinie Tempah, John Hegley, The Bug, Mixmaster Morris, Jose Padilla, Cringe, The Fisherman's Friends, Toddla T & MC Serocee, The Heatwave, Futureboogie, Terry Callier, Plan B, and many more. The Big Chill festival has outdoor bars and stages with live music, DJs, VJs, A/V acts, comedy, dance, art installations and more. Musical styles include dance and electronic, alternative/indie and of course, chill. This year will be the 15th anniversary of the festival.

This year's event is the first since the Big Chill Festival brand was bought out by Festival Republic. Chillfest Ltd had run the festival since 2003 but was forced into voluntary liquidation in October last year.

The Big Chill offers both families and ravers a diverse range of art, films, poetry, cabaret, kids spaces, comedy, and literature in addition to the music.

Tickets are on sale priced at £155 per adult with a maximum of 4 tickets able to be bought per household, teen tickets (13 to 17 years old) are priced at £60, and kid (12 and under) are £4.
