Bestival organiser Rob da Bank is appealing for the return of some special Uruguayan crystals which have been stolen.

The crystals are central to a special installation at the festival which uses a laser to shoot out of the top of the stage through a specially constructed prism made from eight crystals that have come all the way from Uruguay for the Fantasy themed Bestival.

Rob explained, "Essentially with the theme as fantasy this year at Bestival we've created this laser that shoots out of the top of the stage that's constructed from 8 crystals that I've bought from Uruguay… theyre special light refracting crystals and kinda rare!"

The crystals were stolen from the DJs car about a month ago and the police have managed to recover one but Rob Da Bank really needs all of the others back to so that the laser will work at Bestival.

There is a reward on offer for any information that leads to the recovery of the crystals. Anyone with any information about the crystals is asked to email info@bestival.net .
