Summer Sundae Weekender has announced the acts with will perform on it's Musician Stage, including acts such as Goldheart Assembly, Eliza Doolittle, Peggy Sue, Tiffany Page, Jason & The Scorchers, and The Leisure Society.

Other notable names include the return of great ska from El Pussycat, Danny and The Champions of the World, Frankie and The Heartstrings, Megafaun’s ingeniously ramshackle folk rock, and David Ford.

"Its been a great pleasure to be part of the Summer Sundae Festival and working with people who really care about putting on a fantastic spectacular event." says Darren Nockles of the Musician Stage as well as Leicester's Musician Venue.

The full list of newly confirmed acts for the Musician stage are: Goldheart Assembly, Eliza Doolittle, Peggy Sue, Tiffany Page, Jason & The Scorchers, El Pussycat, The Leisure Society, Danny and The Champions of The World, Frankie And The Heartstrings, Megafaun, David Ford, Gadjos, Kirsty Gallacher, Matti Wilson & Jorden Birtles, Rag & Bone of the Heart, The Orchard, Liam Bailey, Kristyna Myles, Kirsty Almedai, The Abrahams, Blue Demons, Andy White, John Butler, Pokey Lefarge & The South City 3, The Gutlaxtones, Alex Highton, Stuart O'Connor, Andy Griffiths and the Tiny Tin Orchestra, Steve Jones, and Mark Gill .

They join a line-up at De Montfort Hall, in Leicester that includes Tinchy Stryder, Mumford & Sons, The Low Anthem, The Go! Team, Local Natives, The Invisible, The Fall, Laura Veirs, The Sunshine Underground, The Whip, Woodentops, Tunng, Goldheart Assembly, Lou Rhodes, Erland And The Carnival, Turin Brakes, A Genuine Freakshow, The Wave Pictures, and more.

Elsewhere, despite Leicester being one of the most landlocked places in Britain (approximately, 90 miles to the nearest beaches at Skegness) the tranquil surrounds of De Montfort Hall's gardens will be transformed into the ultimate British seaside - with a real beach full of glorious, golden sand. Head over to The Garden to take a break and enjoy some quality downtime in our family-friendly seaside-themed area. Relax on a proper deckchair, get creative with sandcastle building or just feel the sand between your toes. Relive all your favourite childhood beach holidays rolled into one, with Punch and Judy shows, knobbly knee competitions, giant games, seaside entertainers, knitting, face painting and seaside-themed crafts.

Tickets are on sale, priced at £105 for one adult, to £275 for a family of four (2 adults, 2 children), and a weekend disabled ticket (two for one) is priced at £52.50, and under 5s go for free. Day tickets and other options will be available a later date.

Camping tickets are per person, not per tent, an adult camping ticket will be priced at £8.50, a child camping ticket will be priced at £4.25, quiet or family camping will be priced at £10 (Regents College), and child family camping will be priced at £5 (Regents College), with camper vans and caravans tickets priced at £30.

Summer Sundae Weekender has since its inception in 2001 it has expanded to a three day, six stage festival, with over a hundred acts. This year the festival will improve and expand the camping facilities, make further investment in The Garden, The Kidzone, Films and Comedy Tents and The Village areas, and promises more treats to tantalise and entice patrons to celebrate the Summer Sundae Weekender, than ever before.
