Doves announce Forest Concert in East Anglia

Doves have announced an East Anglian date this summer as part of the Forestry Commission’s Live Music series of concerts in spectacular woodland locations around the country.

Doves have announced they will be appearing at Thetford Forest, Nr Brandon, in Suffolk on Saturday 12th June 2010 as part of The Forestry Commission's 2010 Forest Tours.

2009 saw the release of Doves' 4th album 'Kingdom of Rust', which entered the album charts at No 2. The band's critically acclaimed debut album 'Lost Souls' (2000) was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and was followed up by their subsequent chart-topping albums 'The Last Broadcast' (2002) and 'Some Cities' (2005).

Commenting on the date, Doves' Jimi Goodwin said, "It was great experience playing to a sold-out crowd at Delamere Forest last summer so we are pleased to announce another forest gig for 2010."

Forestry Commission Live Music pays for itself and any profit generated goes back into improving woodlands for both wildlife and the public to enjoy.

Tickets are priced at £28 and will go on sale at 9am Friday 15th January 2010 and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
