Festival organiser Emily Eavis has hinted that both Dizzee Rascal, and Will Young could be appearing at this summer's Glastonbury Festival.

Dizzee Rascal
Emily Eavis has said in an interview with Lauren Laverne this morning for 6 Music, as reported (here), that an appearance by Dizzee Rascal is on the cards, revealing "We've gotta have Dizzee, I think that's a given."

The daughter of farmer and festival founder Michael Eavis also hinted that another of last year's line-up acts, Will Young, "might be making an appearance".

Speaking from Worthy Farm in Somerset Emily also disclosed that the Festival is currently a full time task for Festival organisers, adding, "We are working on it full time and we're trying to get our third headliner at the moment which is quite exciting."

Although this would indicate the second headliner is in place, U2 are the only headline act confirmed so far for next year's Glastonbury Festival which runs for five full days from Wednesday 23rd until Sunday 27th June 2010 across a 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset.

Emily also confirmed that American rockers Green Day would not be on the bill this year, and although she refused to confirm any of the bands rumoured to appear, she did reveal that there would be a number of 'secret sets', and some possible headlining acts have asked to open rather than close the festival.

Emily divulged, "A lot of bands really want to play but because we've only got three nights to headline, I think a lot of people are going to be doing secret sets. There will be a lot of surprises, more than we've ever had."

"It's really interesting booking it because a lot of bands are saying, 'We really want to do it but how about we open the Pyramid Stage rather than close it?' And it's like, 'That's a good idea'. There's quite a lot of stuff going around, so that's exciting."

Tickets for this summer's 40th Anniversary event have all sold out. There will be no more tickets on sale until later this year.

As usual eFestivals will bring you the very best-sourced rumours between now and the official line-up announcement at the end of May/beginning of June, allowing festival-goers to see who is playing long before the bands are formally announced - keep your eyes on the Glastonbury 2010 rumours, updated as we receive information.
