Blaze Bayley steps in to help Hellfire

Blaze Bayley has stepped up to fill in for Evile at next month's Hellfire Festival.

Evile have had to pull out of the festival due to the recent tragic loss of their bass player Mike Alexander who fell ill last Monday in Lulea, Sweden, just days into the band's month-long European tour. He was rushed to hospital but could not be saved. The cause of Alexander's death is believed to be some kind of cerebral haemorrhage.

Blaze Bayley has stepped in at short notice to complete the main stage line-up on Saturday 7th November. Lead singer Bayley's wife Debbie Hartland also died after a cerebral haemorrhage last year.

Hellfire takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, West Midlands from Friday 6th until Sunday 8th November 2009 and will have a Music Live equipment exhibition and Live Stage during the day, with Hellfire taking over the live area each evening.

The latest confirmed acts join a line-up that includes headliners Fields of the Nephilim, and Saxon, plus Senser, My Dying Bride, Anvil, Tesseract, Benediction, Cancer Bats, Viking Skull, Bury Tomorrow, No Made Sense, Trigger The Bloodshed, Xerath, The Plight, Blakfish, Cinders Fall, Malefice, Rise To Remain, Spit Like This, Sacred Mother Tongue, October File, The More I See, Fei Comodo, Esoterica, Outcry Collective, and more, playing on three stages.
