Ticket holders for this week's The Big Green Gathering are being offered a number of ticket deals to other festivals as an alternative.

Now BGG ticket holders have even more alternative festivals offering special deals for those who missed out this weekend.

For those ticket holders that fancy a festival this weekend there's Standon Calling in Hertfordshire who are offering a £20 discount for Big Green Gathering ticket holders.

There's also a FREE alternative culture event the Earth Energies & Divinatory Arts Gathering held at Coed Hills Rural Art Space, near Cardiff, in Wales, happening this weekend. Also this weekend is Stokes Bay Festival in Hampshire. They are offering a half-price season ticket priced for BGG ticket holders at £50 (adult), £25 (under-16s) for the five day Festival. The half-price offer will also apply to individual day tickets, and an invitation to any traders to any traders who want to go there.

Next weekend's Big Chill is offering entrance to their event next weekend for an additional £20 and the BGG will also have a small presence on site.

Also next weekend is the Ipsalu Kriya Yoga Family Camp which is offering Big Green Gathering ticket holders the chance to go their small family camp which starts runs from Wednesday 5th until Sunday 9th August.

Endorse-It In-Dorset held next weekend at Cranborne Chase, in Dorset is offering BGG Ticket holders tickets on the gate, at a reduced price of £50 for an adult weekend ticket, £15 for a 10-15 year olds, and £5 for under 10's.

The weekend after Croissant Neuf Summer Party from the team responsible for one of the oldest features of Glastonbury festival - The Croissant Neuf Solar Powered Venue are offering BGG ticket holders the chance to purchase especially discounted tickets. The totally solar powered green event held from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th August, near Usk in South Wales is offering tickets at the specially reduced rate of £65 for adults and £20 for children (5-15). This offer is open until the 7th August 2009.

Tribal Earth Summer Gathering held from Thursday 20th until Sunday 23rd August are offering BGG wristband holders a discount at the gate of £15 off the full adult price of £95, bringing it down to £80 for three days. BGG ticket holders just need to bring their wristband with them to qualify for the discount at the gate. (The event will not keep your wristband).

The Pontardawe International Music Festival in Wales is offering holders of weekend BGG tickets an equivalent weekend pass for the festival which takes place in the Swansea Valley from Friday 21st until Sunday 23rd August.They will also get access to the festival campsite for a small charge.

Over the weekend of Friday 4th to Sunday 6th September the Bimble Bandada held in a secret location in Dorset is offering a discount offer.

Alchemy Festival happening from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September is offering BGG tickets at the early bird price of £50 - This offer is open until Aug 16th, email alchemy.festival@live.com for more details.

Next year's Sunrise Celebration is also offering ticket swaps for those who have bought festival tickets for Big Green Gathering. They will be exchanging a limited number of full price (not crew) Big Green Gathering tickets. The ticket swap process will be administered by the Big Green Gathering, who will be supplying Sunrise Celebration with a list of ticket holders who have swapped their BGG tickets for Sunrise 2010 ones. Those wishing to do this are asked to leave contacting BGG until after the weekend as they are presently very busy trying to re-group.

Big Green Gathering was closed down after Mendip District Council supported by Somerset & Avon Police threatened injunction proceedings in High Court over road safety fears and the organisers reluctantly surrendered their licence on Sunday.
