Festival organisers are asking all camping festival goers this year to attend in fancy dress costumes as Fancy Dress Friday returns to Balado. The 'T Lady' will be on site once again looking for the funniest, most inspired, imaginatively attired festival goers to win tickets for next year and the Best Costume title!

Also returning to T in the Park in 2009 is the Healthy T space supported by the Scottish Government, where festival goers can enjoy reasonably priced delicious and nutritious food while soaking up charming entertainment or a holistic treatment.

This year Healthy T has even more food outlets including food from Argyll, porridge oats, crêpes, jackets and stovies plus global fare such as noodles and falafels, a sushi restaurant, wood-fired pizzas, fruit and smoothies.

The area's entertainment includes a four wheeled mobile sound system - the Village Disco (they take requests, dedications and will be hosting musical statues competitions); a 30 person strong Gram Parsons inspired choir The Parsonage, the Flyin' Jalepenos break dancing crew; and live graffiti by Scotland's own spray can artist Gaz Mac. Healthy T DJs will also play all weekend and Chai Chapel will be on hand to provide chai, hand blended incense, tribal instruments and free drumming and dancing workshops.

For festival goers in need of relaxing, there's the Bedouin Tent offering a range of treatments including neck and shoulder massage, reiki and reflexology.

In addition to the Main Arena area there will be a Healthy T shop in the campsite, and Healthy T fruity models will be giving away free fruit and sample sized healthy snacks.

This year Healthy T thirst busters will be equipped with ghostbusters style water jetpacks to keep festival goers well hydrated all weekend, in addition to the public water stand pipes.

T in the Park has a line-up of around 180 artists playing over the 12 stages including the headliners of Kings of Leon, The Killers, Blur, Snow Patrol, with other acts performing at the festival including The Specials, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Manic Street Preachers, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Katy Perry, Razorlight, Noisettes, Elbow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pendulum, Peter Doherty, White Lies, and more.
