Rock Ness has launched a nationwide search for all budding DJs to win a chance of playing at this year's festival as the weekend's resident DJ in the Clash Arena.

The winner of the competition will get the opportunity to create their own piece of Scottish DJ'ing history this June by joining an all star line-up in the Clash Arena.

Entrants to the competition must submit a 30 minute CD mix of their tunes and post it along with the track listing and their details to:
Rock Ness DJ Competition,
The Vine PR & Events,
323 Glasgow Road,
Paisley,
PA1 3BA.

The closing date for entries is Thursday 9th April 2009.

A judging panel including Rock Ness festival director Jim King, Sub Club supremo Harri, Soma Records boss Dave Clarke and Mickey McMonagle will decide the shortlist of entrants. The finalists will then get to DJ at a number of excitement-charged heats across Scotland. These one-off gigs will take place in Inverness, Aberdeen, St Andrews, Edinburgh and Glasgow through April, culminating in a Grand Finale showdown in Glasgow where the winner will be announced on the night.

The winning DJ (plus five lucky friends) will then be Rock Ness-bound for the gig of their life.

Along with the CD, DJs must submit the following information:
Name
Address
