Emily Eavis reveals the names in an interview on the Glastonbury Festival website. Emily, the daughter of Festival founder Michael Eavis, also reveals that the line-up for this year is almost complete, saying, "We're nearly there now, although we've had some big last minute changes. Something really exciting came through yesterday, actually. We've got some really exciting people who we never dreamt we'd have at Glastonbury."

Emily also reveals that she's very excited by the prospect of Saturday night headliner Bruce Springsteen, "We're absolutely made up about that. He is one of the most awesome performers on the planet and he's also very similar to Glastonbury politically. He's totally perfect for us."

Emily who not only helps organise the Festival but also curates her own stage also mentions the Shangri-La area, and indicates it will include some surprises this year, she says, "I had a meeting with Shangri-La about their area, yesterday. My oh my, have they got some plans! It's a real step on from last year. And the newly-enlarged Trash City will spill into Shangri-La this year, which is great. It's going to be quite spectacular down there, I think."

Emily concludes the interview by revealing that she's much more upbeat about this year's festival than she was last year at this time, admitting, "It's all the complete opposite to where we were at this point last year, when I felt like we were shooting down a dark tunnel towards a scary oblivion. We're feeling much more optimistic this year. It's a relief to have sold so many tickets and we've tried really hard to supply the best possible line-up for all the people who've kept faith in us. I genuinely think it's looking like being a vintage year. So, yeah, I'm really looking forward to it."

The interview can be read in full (here).

As Emily says tickets for Glastonbury Festival held for five full days from Wednesday 24th until Sunday 28th June 2009 at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset have already sold out months before the event.

Although the full line-up for this year's Festival has not yet been announced, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band have been confirmed as one of the headliners. To see who might be playing take a look at the eFestivals' Glastonbury 2009 rumours >>.

A further release of a limited number of cancelled tickets will go on sale from 9am on Sunday 5th April 2009, although in order to do so you must have registered beforehand to be eligible to buy a ticket. However, it's unlikely that they'll be a huge number of tickets available on that day. They will be priced at £175 (plus a booking fee of £5).
