Underworld will headline this year's Glade festival.

The headline show at a new venue in the Winchester countryside will be the 'Born Slippy' electro duo's only UK festival appearance in 2009.

Now in it's sixth year the Glade will also see underground dance masters BLOC (curators of BLOC Weekend) hosting the Vapor Stage. They'll be programming the main late night tent with some big names in world techno and UK underground dance.

Glade's change of venue also means the music will be running much later, with both the big production stages kicking it ‘till early morning as well as an increased emphasis on smaller, more intimate venues also running late, giving Glade Festival its unique free party feeling that first made it famous at Glastonbury.

In 2009 the festival will have a more intimate, as well as the outdoor main 'Glade' stage, there will be more small stages, and fewer large tents, and several new areas.

New this year is the Avalon Field conceived as a festival within a festival and dedicated to a way of life and attitude to living, as much as partying. This will be an area where music, art and all forms of expression thrive and connect at this highpoint of the Psytrance movement.

The post apocalyptic Carmageddon area will feature site art from Nevada's Burning Man Festival, the scrap yard regeneration creations of the Mutoid Waste Company and the twisted cabaret of the Interstella Circus and multiple venues hosted by Breaksday, Overkill, Nu-Skool Breaks, Fabric dubsteppers Dublime and Cool & Deadly and Kiss FM's Jay Cunning.

After the big response to the £100 student ticket offer, the offer has been extended to the end of March. Nick Ladd, Glade Director said, "We know a lot of students are skint at the moment and so we are making it as cheap as we can for them to come to Glade Festival this year - recession or not, you still gotta have a good time."

The details of the site will only be revealed to ticket holders, with the capacity capped at 12,500 again this year, and it will be held at a new secret location. Expect full camping facilities, car park, licensed bars open until late, food stalls and markets, and more besides.

Tickets are on sale, the full price is £125. Student Tickets are available until the end of March 2009. There is also a £50 deposit per ticket option with the balance paid in March 2009. The Glade will have a separate queue where each ticket holder will have to show Student ID. Without an ID the balance of £26 will have to be paid. Camper Van Tickets are available at a price of £45.

The organisers are determined to stop touting, so a name and address must be supplied for each ticketholder, and ID will be required at the gate.
