Supergrass have been confirmed as the Saturday night headliner for this year's Wychwood Music Festival.

Supergrass
The Brit-pop band, are sure to bring a great vibe to the festival with their feel good summery pop tunes. Joining them on the Saturday line-up are ska legends The Beat, and up and coming alternative, indie band The Mummers.

There are also new additions to Friday's musical offerings with an engaging mix of folk, pop and rock from Danny and The Champions of The World, and high energy, exotic electro funk from Oojami Sound System.

Dhol Foundation
Sunday's billing now includes the Johnny Kalsi led Bhangra drums of Dhol Foundation, and the young Irish singer Cara Dillon.

Proudly sponsored by eFestivals the Comedy Stage at Wychwood curated by Mundo Jazz has added the comic genius Sol Bernstein, the many characters of Matt Barnard, the one-liner maestro with a deadpan delivery Phil James, and dark comic world of Daniel Bland.

This year's first acts for the Doghouse Stage have been confirmed as Leni Ward who melds electronic and more traditional instrumentation, Manchester's avant-garde The Witches, Box Kid and their electro-reggae pop, and the breakbeat and pop mix of Summer Holiday. Maghribibeat could be the band to watch with what could be the perfect festival sound, one that mixes traditional Moroccan Gnawa music with high energy acoustic driven trance.

New for 2009 is keen Wychwood supporter Tom Robinson curating an evening stage, and his 'Fresh on the Net Sessions' bands include Orphans & Vandals, Hoodlums, Alice Gun, Natalie Ross, Mooli, and Dan Whitehouse.
