Iceland Airwaves which is held in downtown Reykjavik, Iceland from Wednesday 15th until Sunday 19th October 2008 have announced more acts for the festival.
Bristol duo Fuck Buttons, Californians The Mae Shi, and Icelandic additions Cocktail Vomit, Sykur, Audio Improvement, <3 Svanhvít, and Ske are to perform at a night hosted by the Moshi Moshi label.
With just under a fortnight until the festival starts there are a few more additions to the bill. UK Singer Little Boots, the Brooklyn based rock band Cruel Black Dove, and Icelandic big band leader Benni Hemm Hemm.
International acts already confirmed include Boys In A Band, Crystal Castles, CSS, Familjen, Final Fantasy, Florence & The Machine, Handsome Furs, Junior Boys, Miracle Fortress, Munich, Planningtorock, PNAU, Robots In Disguise, The Ghost, Young Knives, These New Puritans, Vampire Weekend, Yelle, El Perro Del Mar, Therese Aune, Jerry Bouthier, and Simian Mobile Disco.
Icelandic acts confirmed include Bob Justman, Borko, Klive, Tonik, Æla, Agent Fresco, Andrúm, Blindfold, Bloodgroup, Dikta, Dirty Projectors (US), Dísa, DLX ATX, Dr. Spock, Dýrðin, Esja, FM Belfast, For a Minor Reflection, Ghostigital, GusGus, Hjálmar, Hjaltalín, Jeff Who?, Mammút, Megas og Senuþjófarnir, Motion Boys, Naflakusk, Ólafur Arnalds, Parachutes, Retro Stefson, Reykjavik!, Rökkurró, Seabear, Singapore Sling, Skakkamanage, Skátar, Slugs, Sometime, Soundspell, Steed Lord, Sudden Weather Change, Swords Of Chaos, The Fist Fokkers, Ultra Mega Technobandið Stefán, and Vicky Pollard.
