Bestival reports that the sun's out after heavy rains this morning plus news of two special guests tomorrow, and there's still a chance to get tickets Fri 5th Sep 08
News from the Bestival site at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight is that the worst of the weather looks to have passed and the sun is currently shining. This morning heavy rain put off some fair weather festival goers with tickets being offered on both Scarlet Mist and the festival's own Sunday Best forums.
With the weather improving, anyone wanting a last minute bargain for this weekend's festival need look no further than Scarlet Mist which has tickets on offer to the sold out festival.
More than 30,000 festival goers are already on site at the festival and awoke this morning to high winds and torrential rain at Robin Hill Country Park, and after a drenching, it's hoped that with the sun out weather conditions are set to clear up, and with the '30,000 Freaks Under The Sea' fancy dress theme, the colour is returning to the site again this year.
Bestival have also said that there will be two surprise special acts appearing at the festival, and eFestivals will hopefully bring you more news about that tomorrow.
The musical line-up for Bestival includes My Bloody Valentine who are the Friday night headliner (an English festival exclusive), with Amy Winehouse headlining Saturday, and Underworld headlining Sunday. Also playing are Aphex Twin (English Festival Exclusive), The Breeders, CSS, George Clinton And Funkadelic/Parliament, Gary Numan, The Human League (exclusive two performance concert), Pendulum (live), 808 State (live), Foals, Lee Scratch Perry, Baaba Mal, The Wedding Present, Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, and many more.
