The premiere of Glastonbury Left Field 2008 - The Movie takes place next week at the Trade Union Congress in Brighton which takes place from Monday 8th until Thursday 11th September 2008 at the Brighton Centre.

The Glastonbury Leftfield movie premiere will also include an appearance by Don Letts and some surprise solo sets from special guests who supported this year's Left Field. The film debut will take place on the opening night of the congress Monday 8th September at 8pm at the Joogleberry Play House, Manchester St, Brighton. The event is invite only with limited charity tickets also available on the night.

Levellers (Leftfield Stage)
The Leftfield is the biggest covered stage at the Festival which holds 5,000 people. Supported by GMB, UNISON, RMT, PCS and the FBU, the tent is a hub for the political and socialist side of Glastonbury Festival. The majority of acts, performers and bands on the line-up up hold the same principles of anti slavery, anti racism and ending miscarriages of justice. All of these issues featured high on the agenda during the whole of the Festival.

The film which was shot entirely during this year's Glastonbury Festival features exclusive live content from a wide variety of artists including The Automatic, Carl Barat, British Sea Power, Reverend and the Makers, Levellers, Alabama 3, The Beat, and Billy Bragg all cut in with campaigning content from organisations like Rock Against Racism, Miscarriages of Justice, Anti Slavery International and Jail Guitar Doors.

Geoff Martin, Glastonbury Left Field Director, said, "Our job was to take trade unionism to Glastonbury, shove big business to one side and plant a flag in the mud for the international campaign for economic and social justice. We've done that and now we're bringing back a bit of sex and drugs and rock and roll right to the heart of the TUC."

With both these options, the number of tickets available per transaction to registered customers has been increased to six.

At £180 a ticket, it looks quite expensive, but those considering going need to consider that the price is for five whole days at the festival, which works out at £36 a day, for a wealth of entertainment on offer that, unlike some festivals, runs around the clock. Plus festival goers receive a quality A4 100 page programme, a lanyard-ed fine guide with map, and a Glastonbury reusable unbleached cotton bag.

There will be thousands of bands, music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, politics, green area, real beer, more stalls and a wider choice of eateries than any other festival in the UK.
