Early bird tickets went on sale at 9am this morning (Friday 29th August) for Bestival's family friendly sister festival, Camp Bestival at the picturesque setting of Lulworth Castle, Dorset set against the backdrop of England's dramatic Jurassic coastline in Dorset. Next year's show will be a week later from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th July during the kid's summer holidays.
Early bird tickets are on sale, an adult weekend ticket is priced at £120, or £60 for a child (aged 12 to 16), with children under-12 free (but require a ticket), and campervans cost £60 per vehicle. Ticket purchasers can put down a £50 deposit and pay the balance by February 14th 2009, so the tickets could make a touching Valentine treat.
Camp Bestival is a family friendly festival all about bringing back the British Holiday Camp... Bestival style! A place where Hi de Hi camping capers meet the spirit of early festivals and as well as entertainment, comedy, and literature.
There will be a full programme of music, spoken word, comedy and literature. The acts for 2009 have not yet been confirmed.
As well as evening entertainment until the early hours for those wanting to dance, there's fun for all the family at this festival. There's a Kids Area filled with things to keep little ones of all ages entertained all day long in a jam packed haven for kids and their parents. Plus Lulworth Castle has its very own Animal Farm where the kids can get up close to their super-friendly animals.
There's luxury tents, tipis, yurts, bivouacs, airstreams, and gypsy caravans available, or bring your own outdoor living.
In 2009 organisers are promising even more marvels and merriment plus bigger and better campsites, incomparable family facilities and more car parks.
