Black Stone Cherry, Airbourne, and Elliot Minor and stage splits Wed 16th Apr 08 Newly announced and playing the festival for the first time are Kentucky Southern rockers Black Stone Cherry, and Aussie hard rockers Airbourne. They are joined by Elliot Minor who make a return to Download Festival, which will be held the weekend of Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June 2008 at Donington Park, Leicestershire. It has also just been confirmed that Chris Cornell has postponed his upcoming European Tour and won't be at download this year. In a statement released by the ex-Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman he says, "Due to an extended recording schedule, I will be able to perform in front of my European fans a few months later than expected. With that said, I plan on touring extensively through Europe and the rest of the world through 2008-2009."
