The RocknRoots Festival which takes place from Saturday 23rd August to Monday 25th August at Much Marcle, near Ross on Wye, Hereford has announced an extensive line-up of veteran legends and festival flavoured rock n roots acts for the August bank holiday.
Marillion, Jefferson Starship, and USA legendary axe man Steve Cropper, alongside reformed blues rockers Bad Company, Cerys Mathews and Curved Air, feature amongst the hefty blues and folk roots line up.
Other confirmed acts include Walter Trout, 3 Daft Monkeys, The Wurzels, Stan Webb's Chicken Shack, Dave Swarb's Lazarus, Thunderclap Newman, Stackridge, The BossHoss, Wayne Hussey (The Mission), Ezio, The Animals, Neck, Skaville UK, Never The Bride, Rachel Unthank & The Winterset, Martyn Joseph, Michael Roach & Johnny Mars, Keith Christmas, Colvin Quarmby, Trailer Trash Orchestra, Julian Meyer, Juliet Turner, The Deep, Michael Chapman, Band from County Hell, The Tree Frogs, Acoustic 2 Tone Theatre, Dirty Ray, Cheryl Beer, Leander Morales, Guy Maile, Swans in Flight, Whalebone, Lowri Evans, October, The Crook Family, Infamous, Genie & The Didgie Band, Sian Evans of Kosheen, and The Mandrake Project.
This new eclectic festival is in the heart of ciderland, and showcases folk, blues and rock'n'roots for all ages. Two Big Top marquees and an outdoor stage will be hosting the music over the bank holiday weekend. Plus all the usual festival extras like stalls, craft displays, exotic foods, juggling schools, and even a wine bar.
Tickets will be on sale from 8th April 2008. The campsite is open from 4pm on Friday 22nd Aug until 12am on Tue 26th Aug. No arrivals will be admitted between 9:30pm on Friday and 9:00am Saturday.
