Brighton's The Great Escape Festival is just 11 weeks away, and more top new music acts have been added to the line-up. The thirteen newly confirmed bands include New York rising stars Vampire Weekend who will be bringing their African flavoured urban punk to the festival.

The other latest additions to the line-up are The Automatic, Saul Williams, XX Teens, The Video Nasties, Operator Please, Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man, Johnny Flynn, LadyHawke, Okkervil River, Cut Off Your Hands, Elle S’appelle, We Smoke Fags and Lucero.

The Great Escape is held in over 25 venues within Brighton City Centre from Thursday 15th until Saturday 17th May.

Previously announced acts for the festival line-up include Pete and the Pirates, Bombay Bicycle Club, Cage The Elephant, Jay Jay Pistolet, The Black Angels, Kelley Stoltz, Thomas Tantrum, Satin Peaches, Lovvers, Hatcham Social, The Pack A.D., We Are Wolves, Soko, 4 Or 5 Magicians, The Boxer Rebellion, The Whip, Jeremy Warmsley, Royworld, The Bad Robots, The Boat People, The Dykeenies, These New Puritans, Yelps, No Age, Public Service Announcers, The Black Lips, The Teenagers, The Wombats, Wild Beasts, Young Knives, Black Mountain, Tunng, Fujiya and Miyagi, Peter Von Poehl, School of Langauge, Lightspeed Champion, Torngat and Wintersleep. Early bird tickets are on sale, priced at £35. The ticket entitles you to entry to all gig venues over the 3 days. Tickets will need to be exchanged for a wrist band. Wrist band will gain entry to all venues subject to capacity. The Wrist band exchange venue will be printed on your ticket. Click here to buy.

As well as the live music at various venues throughout Brighton, the festival also has a number of "Parkinson" style interviews and seminars with luminaries from the world of music and media who impart their experiences.
