The Great Escape, held in over 25 venues within Brighton City Centre have announced more acts for the event which happens from Thursday 15th until Saturday 17th May.
The acts are Reading post punks Pete and the Pirates, indie rockers Bombay Bicycle Club, American funk punksters Cage The Elephant, nu folkster Jay Jay Pistolet, pyschedelic hard-rock/blues band The Black Angels, San Franciscan Kelley Stoltz, indie-poppers Thomas Tantrum, Detroit alt-rockers Satin Peaches, Nottingham hardcore rockers Lovvers, post punk/indie band Hatcham Social, swamp blues band The Pack A.D., rock trio We Are Wolves, Virginian jazz trio Soko, lo fi indie rockers 4 Or 5 Musicians, and emo-indie band The Boxer Rebellion.
Previously announced acts for the festival line-up include The Whip, Jeremy Warmsley, Royworld, The Bad Robots, The Boat People, The Dykeenies, These New Puritans, Yelps, No Age, Public Service Announcers, The Black Lips, The Teenagers, The Wombats, Wild Beasts, Young Knives, Black Mountain, Tunng, Fujiya and Miyagi, Peter Von Poehl, School of Langauge, Lightspeed Champion, Torngat and Wintersleep. Early bird tickets are on sale, priced at £35. The ticket entitles you to entry to all gig venues over the 3 days. Tickets will need to be exchanged for a wrist band. As well as the live music at various venues throughout Brighton, the festival also has a number of "Parkinson" style interviews and seminars with luminaries from the world of music and media who impart their experiences.
