The Great Escape Festival The Great Escape 2008

The Great Escape, held in over 25 venues within Brighton City Centre happens from Thursday 15th until Saturday 17th May, have announced more acts for 2008.

The acts are No Age, Public Service Announcers, The Black Lips, The Teenagers, The Wombats, and Wild Beasts with more names expected to be added to the bill tomorrow.

Previously announced acts for the festival line-up are Young Knives, Black Mountain, Tunng, Fujiya and Miyagi, Peter Von Poehl, School of Langauge, Lightspeed Champion, Torngat and Wintersleep.

Early bird tickets are on sale, priced at £35. The ticket entitles you to entry to all gig venues over the 3 days. Tickets will need to be exchanged for a wrist band. Wrist band will gain entry to all venues subject to capacity. The Wrist band exchange venue will be printed on your ticket. Click here to buy.

As well as the live music at various venues throughout Brighton, the festival also has a number of “Parkinson” style interviews and seminars with luminaries from the world of music and media who impart their experiences.
