Coldplay announce stadium shows with special guest Jay-Z

Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin telephoned BBC Radio 1 this morning to announce that Coldplay are playing a string of stadium shows in September 2009.

Promoted by BBC Radio 1, Coldplay will play three stadium dates in Manchester, Glasgow, and London in September. The band have also confirmed that their special guest will be hip hop artist Jay-Z.

The stadium tour dates are as follows:
Saturday 12th September Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester
Wednesday 16th September Hampden Park, Glasgow
Saturday 19th September Wembley Stadium, London

Tickets for all three shows go on sale at 9.30am on Friday 28th November priced from £45, and eFestivals will have links for you to buy them then.
