Sunrise Celebration finds a new hometickets are on sale now - get them quickThursday 23rd October 2008Sunrise Celebration festival is back for it's fourth year from Thursday 28th until Sunday 31st May 2009, on a new site green site in South Somerset. Tickets for the event have also gone on sale today and an adult ticket is priced at £99, children tickets (5-15 years old inclusive) are priced at £21.50, with family tickets (2 Adults, 2 Children) £229. For a very limited time, kids, teens, campers, and car tickets will be at 2008 prices. To buy tickets, click here. This year's sell-out event was struck by disaster when freak weather conditions and flash flooding of the old site near Yeovil, caused the event to be called off only hours after it was due to open. With the help of The Big Chill, Sunrise was held in August instead of June, within the grounds of Eastnor Castle. "The events of this year have not put us off, infact they have inspired us further to become self sufficient and continue to produce our event within the context of the potential weather conditions, and guarantee we can produce an event no matter what! We have lots of exciting new ideas to incorporate this year and have learned a lot." Says Dan Hurring.
There will be an official launch party in Bristol on Friday 21st November at the Trinity Centre, Bristol from 9pm-late, to which all 2009 ticket holders will have automatic free entry. Headlined by Smith and Mighty with Lazy Habits and Undercover Hippy and more acts to be confirmed, tickets for sale at Bristol Ticket Shop. Sunrise Celebration features all aspects of alternative culture, and is continually committed to sustainability with an eclectic blend of dub, world, ska, electronica, dub-step, psy trance, breaks, reggae, folk, Balkan beats and all manner of stompingly good tunes from rising stars, established favourites and surprise collaborations. Expect 12 stages in 13 arenas providing 24 hour entertainment from more than 200 live bands and 100 DJs, with shows, workshops, forums, dressing up debauchery, installations, and all manner of creative expression, all over 4 days. published: 13:06 (GMT)
