Creamfields who are celebrating their 10th anniversary with a two day event over the weekend of Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August (the August Bank Holiday weekend) have confirmed they will be using special sound proofing curtains in some arenas to keep the noise spill down outside the tents.

Creamfields are working with sound expert Jim Griffiths from Independent Acoustic Company, Vanguardia, to sound proof some of the arenas. Jim Griffiths who has previously worked with festivals including Glastonbury and Reading says, "The sound proofing material has been assessed by our company and it will enable higher sound levels to be established in the venue whilst minimizing the impact outside."

The draping in the arenas will absorb more sound within the tent which will prevent much of the noise and vibration escaping into the outside space. By using the soundproofing drapes Creamfields are hoping to be able to have higher volumes inside the tent than in previous years and still cut down on sound pollution from the arenas.

Last year Creamfields installed the Funktion One Soundsystem, which delivered a better quality aural experience for festival goers.
