GuilFest has announced that Les McKeown's Bay City Rollers are to appear on the afternoon of Sunday 6th July on the Ents24 stage at the three day family friendly festival held from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July 2008 at Stoke Park, Guilford in Surrey.

Les McKeown became the lead singer of one of the most successful pop bands, The Bay City Rollers, in November 1973. With current estimated worldwide estimated album sales at over 300 million and hits such as 'Bye Bye Baby', 'Saturday Night', 'I Only Wanna Be With You' and 'Rock and Roll Love Letter' established The Bay City Rollers as a household name in pop.

Les McKeown's renowned ability to engage and thrill a crowd is still strong after all these years and Les McKeown's Bay City Rollers have toured all over the UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand in recent years. Expect a set full of all the old hits, updated and re-arranged for the new millennium, yet retaining the original magic that catapulted the band to international superstardom all those years ago.

Tony Scott, founder of GuilFest, went to see Les McKeown's Bay City Rollers at Petworth House last year, "I thought it was one of the best live shows I've seen for long time. Les and the band were fantastic and he still had that cheeky head nod! – 'Bye Bye Baby' was ringing in my head for weeks after!"

The bill for GuilFest already includes The Levellers headlining the opening night on Friday. Blondie headlines on Saturday and The Australian Pink Floyd Show will bring the festival to a close on Sunday. Other acts confirmed include British Sea Power, Wills and the Willing, The Egg, Hallucinogen, KraftyKuts, Zucchero, Kula Shaker, From the Jam, Fightstar, Cerys Mathews, Freak Power, The Aliens, Bowling for Soup, Richie Havens, The Damned, Seth Lakeman, Royworld, Babyhead, Sonic Boom Six, and Dreadzone. For the line-up details as available please click here.

The line-up on the main two stages will be further filled with more classic and modern acts, more than 200 in all will be announced for what will be a truly fantastic weekend. Unlike some other festivals, you can immediately feel that this festival is being run to give everyone a great time, rather than to get rich quick!

Visitors to Guilfest can expect not only a great weekend of live music, but also comedy, children's entertainment, street theatre, art and crafts, delicious food from around the world and a truly festive atmosphere. There will also be a late licensed 150 foot bar and a cocktail bar, an extensive children’s area, The KidZone.

The Kidzone is packed full of games, stilt walking, balloon modelling, face painting and drawing. On the Sunday it's over to the children for the annual Kids Parade, where the children get to show the rest of the festival what they have made over their weekend.

Tickets are on sale priced as follows: Adults - £40 day, £90 weekend, £100 weekend with camping. Children between 12 – 16 years old - £30 day, £50 weekend, £60 weekend with camping. N.B.
