Young Knives for Rip Curl Boardmasters Unleashed

Rip Curl Boardmasters Unleashed Music Festival which takes place at a cliff-top location overlooking Watergate Bay, Cornwall at the end of a week-long beach festival built around the Ripcurl Boardmasters event on Fistral Beach has confirmed more big names for the Friday 8th and Saturday 9th August.

Indie, pop punk band Young Knives will return to Boardmasters playing the main stage on Saturday and joining them on the same day will be John McClure's Reverend and the Makers. The main stage will also play host to Bowling Green, Kentucky's rising stars of rock'n'roll Cage The Elephant.

Taking to the second stage on the Friday will be North London's The Holloways and joining them on the opening night will be folk rocker Jersey Budd who will also grace the main stage with his collection of classically crafted songs.

There are still more acts to be announced for this event which is one of Europe's biggest surf, skate and music festival has already announced Groove Armada who will top the main stage bill on Friday 8th August. Other named artists include Audio Bullys, Morcheeba, Natty, The Black Seeds, Ash Grunwald, The Pigeon Detectives, The Futureheads, Sam Issaac, Mystery Jets, Gallows, with Ghost of A Thousand, Johnny Truant, and In Case of Fire. Tickets are priced at £29.99 for Friday or Saturday, and £54.99 for an adult weekend ticket, kids under 16years old must be accompanied by an adult, children under 5 years old go free. Tickets are on sale now and can purchased from here.
