Glastonbury Festival Glastonbury Festival 2008 While both Radiohead and Kylie looked almost certain for Glastonbury Festival only a week ago, it now looks as though neither will be seen at Worthy Farm next summer.
Kylie looked as though she might be playing when her initial tour dates were announced due to a convenient gap, but with her tour going on sale today some new dates have now been added, meaning that she's performing in Belfast on both the Friday and the Sunday. While this doesn't totally rule out a Saturday trip to Pilton, it does seem unlikely.
Meanwhile, eFestivals has had word from one of our more reliable sources that Radiohead won't be at Glastonbury either. We can't be 100% definite that what we're hearing is how things are, but it looks as though Radiohead have decided against appearing at any UK festivals this summer - we've heard that they turned down offers from at least one other festival. Radiohead have themselves confirmed that they'll be playing summer shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow, but the dates and venues of these are yet to be announced.
So who are the headliners likely to be? Our current best guess is that Muse will be one.
Don't forget to keep an eye on our Glastonbury 2008 rumours. In 2007, eFestivals was first to say who the headliners were, and we had every act but one correct for the main stage (which were copied word-for-word by the likes of nme.com and others), every act for the Jazzworld stage, plus hundreds of other acts all listed correctly long before the official line-up announcement. Glastonbury Festival 2008 will take place from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th June, with the gates opening on Wednesday 25th. Details on how to purchase Glastonbury tickets are expected to be announced early in the new year.
