The Red Hot Chili Peppers have jumped the gun on this evening's official announcement, and announced themselves in a newsletter mailing as headlining the festival, at Reading on Saturday 25th and at Leeds on Sunday 26th August.

The official Carling Weekend: Reading & Leeds Festivals announcement is due at 6:45pm tonight, with tickets going on sale at 7pm - we'll of course have all the details. For who eFestivals believes might be playing, see the rumours
