T in the Park T in the Park 2007 T in the Park, being held at Balado, nr Kinross in Scotland, and now a three day festival happening from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th July has been granted a new three year licence for 80,000 music fans. The event previously had a 75,000 capacity limit.
BBC Online reports (here) that festival organiser Geoff Ellis told Perth & Kinross Council's licensing committee that, in order to maintain an enjoyable experience for revellers, 80,000 would be the maximum capacity for the festival in its current format. The campsite may increase to 60,000 people capacity.
This size increase should mean that there's at least another 5,000 T in the Park tickets to be sold. After tickets sold out quickly on Saturday, Geoff Ellis said "Once the final capacity for the site is agreed, multiple bookings are made void and where possible, online lots are cancelled, a second batch of tickets will go onsale in the coming weeks."
Acts playing at this year's T in the Park include Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Scissor Sisters, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Kings of Leon, The Kooks, My Chemical Romance, Kasabian, and loads more, with more to be announced - for all the acts so far announced click here. Note that the Friday entertainment will only be available to those with weekend with camping tickets.
