Glastonbury Festival have just announced that when tickets go on sale this year (on Sunday 1st April), buyers will be able to purchase upto four tickets in a single transaction.
Michael Eavis has issued the following statement:-
“This year, because of the new registration system, and in response to many requests, I am pleased to announce that when tickets go on sale on 1st April, it will be possible to buy up to four tickets in a single transaction.
Not only will this be more convenient for families and groups, but it should vastly reduce the number of cars coming to the farm.”
As a result of Michael’s announcement, a family can buy up to four tickets for adults, plus up to two for children aged 13, 14 and 15. Children aged 12 and under on June 20 2007 are admitted free if accompanied by a responsible adult. Friends coming in groups can buy up to four tickets per transaction.
All people wanting to buy a Glastonbury ticket this year need to pre-register. Registration can be done online - from http://www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk/ - or via normal post by either downloading the form from here, or by collecting the form at your local branch of Millets (who will donate 10 to WaterAid for every form they issue).
There's no need to rush - you can register at an time between now and midnight on Wednesday 28th February 2007. There is no advantage to registering early or late.
