Each year, there's open air concerts at London's Somerset House under the banner of Summer Series at Somerset House. This year it's happening from Thursday 12th to Saturday 21st July, and the bands for this year have just been announced.

Mogwai open the programme with their first ever performance in Surround Sound, while one of the godfathers of modern music - legendary guitarist and songwriter Bert Jansch - performs a special evening of old and new songs with guests Beth Orton and Bernard Butler.

Raye Cosbert, Summer Series programmer comments: "The courtyard at Somerset House has shown itself to be one of the best venues in the country for live music of all persuasions. It seems to bring out the best in every artist that plays there. This year’s promises to be very special."
