eFestivals has just had a little chat with Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis, and he has confirmed the date tickets will go on sale.
The same as last year, the tickets will be sold on a Sunday, to give as many people as possible the opportunity to buy. That date is Sunday 1st April 2007 at 9am (and no, this isn't some sort of strange and very early April fool's joke).

Although the date is confirmed, the firm tickets details aren't yet available. The price is yet to be fixed, and the exact method of sale - including identity requirements - is still being worked on. Michael did say that it's likely to include a pre-registration process for anyone wanting to buy tickets, and that photo ID will again required. He's no less determined to stop the resale of Glastonbury tickets for next year as he's been in previous years, and wants those attending to do so at the price he sets.
Glastonbury Festival will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton (near Glastonbury), Somerset from Friday 22nd until Sunday 24th June, with the gates expected to open on Wednesday 20th June. We'll bring you the full ticket information when available.
For the very best Glastonbury rumours as we get them keep your eyes here, and if you hear of a band that's playing, please let us know.
