Download Download Festival 2006

Download Festival - which takes place from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th June 2006, at Donington Park, Leicestershire - has announced a few more bands, switched a few around, plus announced details of "The Village".

Moving from their original Friday slot to the Sunday is Funeral For A Friend, who will now play directly before Guns N’ Roses on the Main Stage. Singer Matt Davies, thrilled about this change, commented: “We’re very excited to have the opportunity of playing before Guns N’ Roses on the Sunday at this year’s Download Festival. We have a great live history with the festival and are looking forward to ending our touring year on what I’m sure will be a high note and a weekend to remember for all of Funeral For A Friend.”

Other changes for the weekend are on the Saturday and Sunday – Devil Driver are to swap with Sikth on the Snickers Stage, Stonegard are trading places with To My Surprise on the Gibson/MySpace.com Stage – both on Saturday - and Streetlight Youth have moved from the Snickers Bowl to the Gibson/MySpace.com Stage on the Sunday.

Newly confirmed acts for the weekend are Mondo Generator, Khoma, I-Def-I, Art of Dying, Keiko and The Hedrons. They join the acts already announced, which include Metallica, Guns N' Roses, The Prodigy, Korn, Deftones, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Lacuna Coil, InMe, Within Temptation and Hatebreed - click here for all the details.
