exclusive: Levellers for Bestival

plus special Bestival Chrismas Card ticket offer

Thursday 7th December 2006

eFestivals has recently interviewed Jez of the Levellers - the interview will be available for your reading pleasure in the next few days.

During the interview he let slip that the Levellers are already booked to appear at next year's Bestival, which will take place at Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th September 2007.

Talking of Bestival, there's currently a special Christmas Card ticket offer, which gets you a Bestival ticket, a hand drawn limited edition Josie da Bank card, and a warm glow inside because £5 of the price goes to housing charity Shelter.

Bestival Head Hippie Rob da Bank says "Don't give your loved one a pair of socks, pot pourri and a tangerine this year. Make 'em smile with a good old-fashioned Bestival ticket and hand drawn limited edition Josie da Bank card! Also cos so many people in the UK don't have such a merry Christmas with no roof over their head we're giving £5 from every ticket bought to Shelter who are committed to housing our homeless. What ya waitin for?".

"It's a scandal that 40 years after the plight of Cathy Come Home's on-screen family shocked the nation, the lives of over a million children are today being devastated by the grim reality of homelessness and bad housing. Shelter needs financial support to continue our essential work, which is why we're delighted that Bestival have chosen us as a beneficiary of their Christmas ticket sales." - Adam Sampson, Shelter Chief Executive.

These special Bestival tickets with card cost £105 for adults, or £52.50 for children aged 6-14 (children under 6 go free. All under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult). All orders must be received by midday on 18th December. To get your hands on one, see here.
