There is more going on at A Rum Do Summer Weekender than just music. The festival, which takes place from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th August at the Baskerville Hall Hotel in the Wye Valley, has announced some rather unique acts...

Performing at the festival will be the rogue yogi, Sheshah, and the 'breathless' Underwater Man, both of whom will execute allegedly logic-defying achievements.

Rogue yogi Sheshah is the last living descendant of Sheshal (apparently), the Brahmin of the Air, who first demonstrated his divine ability nearly two hundred years ago in a small temple courtyard in Madras. The yogi will float almost four feet above the ground, completely unsuspended, as a sitar plays calmly in the background.

If that's not enough the highly originally named 'Underwater Man' will be submerged into a locked, clear Perspex tank of water and will remain there voluntarily for a full half hour, without any tell-tale bubbles or air tubes. Suprisingly, this is the first time this feat has been attempted in the UK.

The festival will be lit by Jingu, purveyor of urban night scene lighting. This is the first time the Sino British company will illuminate a UK festival. Jingu's electric palm trees and cornfields will surround the beach area and display electric fireworks in the evening.

The line-up so far includes Mr.Scruff, Quantic, The Nextmen, Rodney P & Skitz, Fred Deakin (Lemon Jelly), Bugz in the Attic, Ben Westbeech, Kid Carpet, Babyhead, Brovink, The Lovers, The Zen Hussies, The Extraordinaires, Focussed Few, Toxic Sound System, The Heavy, Jimmy Screech (Banaklan), The Duckworths, Voodoo Trombone Quartet, The Fujii, Think, Fat 45s, and Ken Easy's Love Safari.

A limited number of tickets (approx 3000) will be sold, keeping the event intimate and wonderfully intense. For those who favour bricks over canvas, rooms (plus full breakfast) at the hotel will be available. These can be reserved on a first come, first served basis.

A three day Weekender pass (including camping) is £85 (plus booking fee). Tickets can be bought from here.
